This is where you will order your Compiled Military Service Record (CMSR), this is the carded recording system that was designed in the 1890s from the Regimental Registers and Muster Rolls in order to preserve those documents. In some cases personal papers that have survived have been included. Below you will see two mandatory fields, first is the name and regiment information, if known. second is to order any Bookmark that is listed on the cover of the CMSR, it is free at this point. If you choose not to order it now, it can be ordered later at the current rate of $20.00.

A CMSR, Compiled Military Service Record is a collection of Cards with data taken from Regimental Registers, Muster Rolls ect in order to preserve those documents. There could also be an envolpe within the CMSR that contains found personal documents i.e. enlistment doc, discharge, POW ect. Bookmarks if listed on the cover of the CMSR can be ordered at this time free of charge, but must be order below.
